Patient Profile: 60-Year-Old Female

Challenge: The patient presented with a completely edentulous upper left posterior quadrant (missing teeth #24, #25, #26, and #27), resulting in a significant loss of masticatory function and posterior occlusal support. The clinical hurdle in this extensive span was not merely placing implants, but executing prosthetically driven surgery to ensure ideal biomechanics, while simultaneously regenerating the atrophied soft tissue architecture to mimic natural gums.

Our Solution:

  • Prosthetically Driven Surgery: We executed the strategic placement of three dental implants at sites #24, #26, and #27. The implants were placed in perfect 3D position freehand. This ensured the restorative access holes would emerge in the absolute ideal positions, maximizing the structural integrity of the final prosthesis.

  • Soft Tissue Architecture: To recreate a natural, healthy gum contour, a specialized buccal roll flap procedure was performed. We paired this surgical technique with custom temporization to actively condition, sculpt, and remodel the soft tissue profile during the healing phase.

  • Definitive Prosthetics: Following a 3-month period of osseointegration and soft tissue maturation, we delivered a premium, screw-retained implant-supported prosthesis utilizing a Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) framework. This advanced manufacturing technique guarantees a passive, ultra-precise fit, resulting in exceptional long-term stability and a flawless functional restoration.
