Phased Full-Mouth Implant & Immediate Load Implantology

Patient Profile: 50-Year-Old Female

The Challenge: The patient presented with a severely compromised, terminal dentition and multiple missing teeth across both arches. A comprehensive clinical and radiographic assessment confirmed that the remaining teeth held a hopeless prognosis and were structurally unsalvageable. The patient required a complete restoration of masticatory function and aesthetics but needed a treatment plan that accommodated a phased approach for the maxillary arch.

Our Solution:

To address both immediate functional needs and long-term restorative goals, we executed a phased, multidisciplinary treatment plan:

Surgical Extraction & Site Preparation: Atraumatic extraction of all remaining hopeless teeth in both the maxillary and mandibular arches.
Mandibular Immediate Rehabilitation: Strategic placement of mandibular dental implants utilizing an immediate-extraction, immediate-placement protocol. To ensure zero downtime for the patient, a custom provisional prosthesis was loaded and delivered on the third day of surgery, restoring instant function and aesthetics.
Maxillary Phased Therapy: Delivery of a highly customized, immediate complete maxillary denture to serve as an aesthetic and functional interim prosthesis. This sets a stable foundation for the patient’s planned phase-two surgical transition to a definitive implant-supported maxillary prosthesis in the future.
